She is a resilient survivor, passionate leader, and dedicated advocate for women. Born to Haitian parents in Freeport, Bahamas, and currently residing in Miami, Florida, Tonais overcame immense challenges to achieve remarkable success.
As a teenage, single mother, she courageously navigated high school while enduring a tumultuous relationship marked by physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. Breaking free from this toxic cycle, Tonais transformed adversity into strength, becoming a symbol of hope for countless women.
With unwavering determination, Tonais pursued higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in business professional management and a master's in business administration from Nova Southeastern University. Her 24-year career at Royal Caribbean Group has been marked by exceptional leadership and a commitment to empowering women. As President of the RCG Network of Women Diversity and Inclusion ERG, she has been instrumental in creating a supportive environment for female employees.
Tonais' dedication to helping others extends beyond her professional life. As the founder of Silent Cries, Inc., she provides a lifeline to young girls and women affected by domestic abuse. Through her powerful storytelling on platforms like Island TV and the BIKS Kids Foundation, Tonais raises awareness about this pervasive issue while inspiring survivors to reclaim their lives.
A true testament to the human spirit, Tonais embodies the power of perseverance and compassion. Her journey is a beacon of hope, demonstrating that with courage, determination, and a commitment to serving others, it is possible to overcome any obstacle and create a lasting impact.
